Leading Through IS-BAO

PDP COURSE

The Leading through IS-BAO course is comprised of 12 modules for a total of 3 hours of video instruction plus review videos, module quizzes, and a final test. The cost of the course is $295 per person. Upon completion of the course the student will receive a certificate and a training course outline will be sent via email.

This course is designed to help prepare safety managers and department managers to lead the organization in preparing for all stages of IS-BAO registration. The course offers an overview of the requirements for each chapter in the IS-BAO as well as a critical look at the stage requirements for Chapter 3 (SMS). Additionally, key activities such as the internal evaluation program, hazard identification and risk mitigation, and development of a robust safety committee are explained.

The IS-BAO staging process has become more complicated over the last few years with a change in 2018 regarding how the SMS is assessed and the updated requirements to show evidence of implementation. The IS-BAO stage is solely related to the maturity of the organization’s SMS, and therefore an organization should be very aware of the requirements for each stage to help ensure success in reaching the desired stage. This course will help prepare safety managers and department managers to lead the organization is preparing for the next stage in the IS-BAO journey.

This course is eligible for NBAA CAM credits (3 CAM Application credits and 2 CAM Recertification credits)!
