Recurrent SMS Training for the Frontline
The Recurrent SMS Training for the Frontline course is comprised of the course information from 'Initial SMS Training for the Frontline' - 7 modules for a total of 48 minutes of video instruction plus review videos, module quizzes for reinforcement and a final test. The cost of the course is $195 per person. Upon completion of the course the student will receive access to their certificate and a customized training course outline will be sent via email.
The Recurrent SMS Training for the Frontline course includes the SMS overview video and a guide to assist the organization’s Safety Manager in augmenting the course with the company-specific training required by ICAO.
NOTE: Baldwin clients will receive a supplemental 35 minute video after purchase with specifics regarding the Baldwin portal.
Students completing this course will meet the following course objectives:
- Define the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) role in safety management.
- Understand the progression of safety thinking to safety management systems (SMS).
- Be able to define what a safety management system is and recognize the 4 components and 12 elements of a safety management system.
- Define hazards and risk as well as understand critical risks in operations.
- Define human error and be able to understand response to human error.
- Understand how each of the SMS components and elements operates to reduce risk in the organization.
- Understand their role in the SMS.
